LiÇu nhïng ng°Ýi c§m quyÁn ß B¯c Kinh có trù liÇu s½ có ngày lâm chi¿n vÛi Mù, hay ¤n ÐÙ, ho·c Nh­t B£n hay không? Trong mÙt t°¡ng lai g§n thì ch¯c chi¿n tranh khó x©y ra vì Trung QuÑc còn quá y¿u. Nh°ng không ai tiên oán °ãc 50 nm ¿n 70 nm nïa th¿ giÛi s½ nh° th¿ nào. HiÇn nay h¡n ba ph§n t° sÑ nh­p c£ng vÁ d§u khí, nguyên liÇu cça Trung QuÑc ang ph£i chuyÃn qua eo biÃn Malacca giïa Indonesia và Mã Lai Á, rÓi i qua ngang vùng BiÃn Ðông cça n°Ûc ta à ti¿p t¿ cho các nhà máy ho¡t Ùng trong låc Ëa. Lý do khi¿n Nh­t gây chi¿n vÛi Mù, rÓi thua tr­n, Áu vì kinh t¿ bË phong tÏa.<o:p></o:p></span></p> <p><span style='font-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Verdana","sans-serif"'>Tr°Ûc chi¿n tranh, Nh­t B£n là quÑc gia xu¥t c£ng éng hàng thé t° trên th¿ giÛi; hàng h£i th°¡ng thuyÁn có trÍng t£i éng hàng thé ba; trong th­p niên 1930 kinh t¿ Nh­t phát triÃn nhanh chóng, bành tr°Ûng sang Mãn Châu, Cao Ly, rÓi vào Trung QuÑc trong khi c£ th¿ giÛi lâm vào c£nh ¡i khçng ho£ng. SÑ s£n xu¥t công nghiÇp Nh­t lÛn h¡n t¥t c£ các n°Ûc Á Châu khác cÙng l¡i. SÑ công nhân trong các công nghiÇp tng të 5.8 triÇu nm 1930 lên tÛi 9.5 triÇu nm 1944.<o:p></o:p></span></p> <p><span style='font-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Verdana","sans-serif"'>Sau khi quân Nh­t ti¿n vào ViÇt Nam vÛi sñ thÏa thu­n cça chính quyÁn thuÙc Ëa Pháp, nm 1941 H£i Quân Mù ã b¯t §u ngn c£n các t§u chß d§u lía cça Nh­t i qua vùng biÃn Ðông Nam Á. D§u nh­p c£ng vÁ Nh­t ph£i i qua vùng BiÃn Ðông n°Ûc ta, cing nh° tình tr¡ng Trung QuÑc bây giÝ.<o:p></o:p></span></p> <p><span style='font-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Verdana","sans-serif"'>ChÉ tÛi Tháng Ba nm 1945 máy bay Mù mÛi ánh bom vào các thành phÑ Nh­t mÙt cách quy mô; nh°ng kinh t¿ Nh­t ã co cåm vì bË phong tÏa trên m·t biÃn khi t§u ng§m Mù b¯t §u t¥n công các th°¡ng thuyÁn chß hàng hóa, nguyên liÇu và d§u lía të nm 1944. Nm ó, Nh­t B£n tiêu thå g§n 20 triÇu thùng d§u nh°ng chÉ nh­p c£ng °ãc 5 triÇu vì bË t§u ng§m Mù ngn c£n. Riêng t§u ng§m Flasher ã ánh ¯m 21 chi¿c t§u thçy Nh­t, trong ó có 4 t§u chß d§u chß m×i chi¿c 100,000 thùng d§u; trong Tháng M°Ýi Hai nm 1944 t§u ng§m này ã làm cho sÑ d§u lía vÁ ¿n n°Ûc Nh­t gi£m bÛt 2 ph§n ba. Trong nm ó, t§u ng§m Mù ánh h° h¡n 600 th°¡ng thuyÁn Nh­t tÕng cÙng trÍng t£i 2.7 triÇu t¥n. SÑ hàng nh­p c£ng vào n°Ûc Nh­t gi£m 40%. Vào lúc cuÑi cuÙc chi¿n, kinh t¿ Nh­t chÉ b±ng 10% cça Mù, mà mÙt lý do chính là không ç nguyên liÇu và d§u lía, nhiÁu nhà máy bÏ trÑng không dùng ¿n. Quân Nh­t bË lëa vì hÇ thÑng truyÁn tin quá cÕ l×! Tháng Ba 1945, T°Ûng Masaki Honda t¡i m·t tr­n Meiktila, Mi¿n ÐiÇn báo cáo lên c¥p chÉ huy:  Trong 2 s° oàn cça tôi, không tÛi 20 kh©u súng còn ho¡t Ùng bình th°Ýng... Súng chÑng xe tng cça chúng ta b¯n trúng xe Ëch nh°ng ¡n bË vng ra! Tháng Nm nm 1945, phi công Nh­t Masashiko Ando bay thám thính khám phá mÙt t§u ng§m Mù ß ngoài kh¡i Cam Ranh. Ando bay trên cao 2000 mét, quay §u à uÕi theo phía sau chi¿c t§u ng§m, xuÑng th¥p, tÛi 200 mét thì th£ lo¡i bom chìm sâu chÑng t§u ng§m xuÑng måc tiêu, n¡i chi¿c t§u mÛi l·n. Ando vÁ Cam Ranh, báo cáo ã thành công. Nh°ng chi¿c t§u ng§m Mù ã thoát n¡n, vì kù thu­t  l·n nhanh cça t§u Mù ã ti¿n xa h¡n Nh­t.
